Students must complete ONE of four professional focus areas for 6 points: Economic Development, Political Development, Social Development, or Sustainable Development. Note: Students may count only one regional course towards their focus area.

The Economic Development Focus Area of EPD is designed for students interested in issues such as labor, microfinance, macroeconomic policy, trade and capital flows, business and private sector development.
